I've got a surgery date of 7-17-03. I am waiting on my approval from Cigna

The dr. said he had to schedule a surgery date prior to sending in for the approval. I've done all of the hoop-jumping for the pre-ops required and my BMI is 51, so I'm hoping and praying they will approve me. I'm not getting my hopes up wildy, so whatever comes will be ok. If I have to do an appeal and put it off a month, so be it. - Michelle in NC

Hi Michelle......My date is the 17th also....and Cigna is the insurance company I use. They approved me with a BMI of 53. I just had to send them records of all my past doctor supervised diets.
