help

my surgery date is july22,2003. I have been eating everything bad for me. I wish i could stop. I feel i need to get it out of the way because i wont be able to eat them ever again.I dont want to gain more weight has anyone else felt this way before surgery? Also after surgery are you really not hungry? what about head hunger? thanks please email me back. {[email protected]}

Oh my gosh....I feel the same way!! I think I have gained 10 pounds in the past 7 weeks waiting for surgery! about the hunger issue...I think it is different for everyone...I have heard some say they have to force themselves to eat and others say they are starving. personally i think it would be mostly in your head. because for most of us we are giving up our best friend--FOOD! oh my I feel the same way.. i have just got thru eatin 4 oreo's and a glass of rootbeer.. and thinkin bout what i can find in the kitchen to eat now.. thank god there isnt anything to snack on in there.. laughs.. good luck to you.. andrea

Hey Susie: I have my surgery the day after you and I think I have gained 10 pounds since my consultation back in January. I have been working out at the gym and trying to eat right and I haven't lost a pound. I am so frustrated. I so ready for this surgery. Susie your gonna be fine.

Hi Suzie. I have to laugh because I'm doing the same thing. I had a VBG 8 years ago and had lost 160 lbs I used to weigh 320. The ring in my stomach is not working the way it should so I am having a revision (open RYN) on July 7, 2003. I have gained 40 lbs in the last 3 years (due to 2 pregnancies). But out of them 40 lbs I've gained about 15 lbs in the last couple months. I now weigh 205 lbs. I am eating anything and everything. I think a lot of people do the same thing. I hope with the RYN I don't feel hungry all the time. I can't eat alot at one time due to the VBG but I can eat every half an hour because I think I am hungry. I'm sure everything will work out for you and I will keep you in my prayers.
