Thats so cute Trish, about the younger guy. There is a guy where I work who must be young enough to be my son but he sure is cute and he sure does flirt with me. Its great to have the self confidence to be able to innocently flirt back.

Hi Barb....congrats on your loss and am glad to read you are doing great. I just had my 1 yr check up and the nurse says I could be a poster child for this surgery with the fantastic way I've done...having no problems and such. Life is wonderful isn't it?

So glad all my surgery "brothers & sisters" are reaping the benefits of their new lives as much as I am! I've lost 83 lbs since my surgery on July 1, 2002 and can't believe I'm wearing medium shirts & size 12 pants (from size 24 in both). Had my one year follow-up with my surgeon today, and he was very pleased that I've had no problems to speak of. Wishing everyone the best now & always! love, Barb

Topic: -272 Smaller then when I graduated from High school
Hello all!!! Yes I'm smaller now then when I graduated from High school. Yes I was a "Fat Kid". I've now lost 272lbs. 174llbs since surgery. I have my life back. I'm still bigger then some people that are pre-op @ 335lbs but I am already a new person. I've lost almost half of myself (I started out @ 607lbs). I can now do things with my wife & kids and even shop @ walmart. I will need to get rid of all this hanging skin but that will wait until I'm closer to my goal and my goal is in sight. Life is good.

Topic: 1 year today
Hello WLS family! Today is my 1 year anniversary. I went from 375 lbs. to 181 lbs. I feel great and my quality of life has changed for the better. I am making better choices of the foods that I eat and I am just trying to maintain what I have accomplished. Even though I had emergency gall bladder surgery (to remove gall bladder and gall stones) 10 months after the gastric bypass, I do not regret the decision to have the surgery. The benifits of losing 194 lbs. far out wiegh the "little" inconvience of the gall bladder surgery.
