Hi Everybody, I'm now 3 years post-op and doing wonderful. I was 310(pre-op) and now standing steady at 170. I unfortuately have 4 herniated disc in my lower back and had to have a steroid injection(ouch) and I did gain 4 lbs from that(that scared me--I kept thinking where is this going to stop). It finally leveled out and I lost those 4 lbs. I did have a few complications(plural effusion)(severe anemia-iron infusion)(dialated 3 times)(developed an bleeding ulcer)(hair loss)(severe constiption). Through all of this, I would do it all again, to be able to feel and enjoy life everyday. IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!! I'm in the Medical Field(Cardiology)and I talk alot to my patients about the RNY and the pros and cons. As you all know it is NOT a QUICK FIX. I was willing to take the risk and to be able to give someone else HOPE for a better quality of life. Thanks all for listening to me rattle on. Have a Great Day!!!!!! Patricia
