Dreams Do Come True!

My WLS was on July 27, 2001. I had lost a total of 130lbs., but i have recently gained a few pounds back. It's okay because it is exactly what I had planned... My first child is due on October 26, 2003! I had the surgery because I wanted to be able to have a healthy, happy pregnancy and baby. All has gone well. I used to suffer from severe arthritis, but since dropping the weight, my condition has greatly improved. Now that I am pregnant, it is in total remission! The surgery was the first step in fulfilling the dream of a lifetime. If you are considering having the surgery or getting pregnant, I recommed WLS first!

Diana, I had my surgery on July 9, 2001, and have lost 144 pounds, and would not change anything for the world. This has been the very best thing I have ever done. Like you I also had arthritis in my legs and feet, could not walk out to the mail box without being in pain. Today I walk 3 miles 3 times a week with no problems.
