After 5 yrs
The most I seem to be reading on the board from my fellow July 2001 Post Ops is gaining the weight back....What's going on?
I really feel too many are having this surgery blindly, NO RESEARCH, no thoughts to the MAJOR changes.
Many are looking at this as a quick fix with NO real effort on their parts.
I feel bad, but I cant feel sorry for those who go right back to their old eating habits in addition to forcing food into their little pouches. Honestly, If I eat too much, it hurts so bad, I have to throw up, I dont sit there and let the excess expand my pouch.
People need to not only do more research but need to seek mental help before and after the WLS if any real sucess is to be acheived....I went from 298 to 113 then up to 120 and finally 180...Im now down to 130 cause I realized what I was doing wrong.
I really hope those who are not doing good look at their eating and drinking habits to decide is it really the DR that screwed up or you failing to use your WLS as what it was meant to be....A TOOL.
Im pregnant now and more then ever Im watching what I eat...being 4 mo. pregnant, Im still at 130 and the baby is fine, It's what and how you eat...once you realize what your doing with food, you'll eat to live and NOT live to eat, and your WLS tool will be your prized possesion...not a hinderance or regret.
Good luck to everyone.
