Pre-Op Diet

So I am a few days into my pre-op diet and I'm having some food separation anxieties.
In an effort to thin my "fatty liver", my surgeon requires a 14 day pre-op diet of 3 - 4 protein shakes per day and non-starchy vegetables, fat free broth, sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles.
I started experiencing a headache, the likes of which I have NEVER felt before, sometime yesterday afternoon. I started thinking that perhaps I was dehydrated (even though at that point I had already consumed about 48 oz. of water) and drank another 48 oz. of water with no relief. A few hours later I called it a night and went to bed only to wake up with the same headache.
I made a summer vegetable soup that is quite tasty and I have been eating it and not being HUNGRY per say. But I miss food, for certain. I guess I mostly just wish I had a solution to this wicked headache. Any ideas?

I had the horrible headache too.  But I'm now more than 2 weeks into the pre-op diet and I no longer have the awful headaches.  I have an occasional headache, but it's tolerable.  Tylenol or Excederin help, although Excedrin has caffeine so if your doc has said no caffeine ya might just need to do the Tylenol thing.
