My surgery is scheduled for June 20th. I have to do an 800 calorie diet for 2 weeks starting on June 6th.  2 days prior to surgery I have to do clear liquids and a bowel prep. Liquid protein I can do but clear liquids is gonna be tough.

My surgery date is June 20th.  I am sooo looking forward to this.  A new start to my life.  I have been heavy most of my life.  Now my love of food is causing some medical issues.  My surgeon told me that 1 hour after surgery I will no longer need my diabetes medication.  Now that was good news.  I am hoping that all of us June Babies have a safe and uncomplicated surgery.

My surgery is scheduled for June 20th.  I start an 800 calorie liquid diet on June 6th.  2 days before surgery I have to do a clear liquid diet (not looking forward to that).  I am nervous because I know this surgery is life changing.  I am excited because I know I need this to be free of all of my co-morbidities.  I was looking at a picture that showed all of the diseases that WLS could help, I had over 1/2 of them.  I am soo looking forward to feeling better and taking less medication.

Topic: RE: Surgery date June 7th, Day 2 of Pre-Op Diet
I started week 2 of a 4 week pre-op diet today, but mine is much different than yours.  My surgery date is 6/16.  I only have to limit carbs to 30grams a day and up protein.  Clear liquids the day before.

The worst thing so far is no energy and the Ketone breath.  Thank you, Scope.

Started my 2 week liquid fast today.  Got in 980 calories and 50.5 gms of protein.  Supposed to be 60 gms but I think that will come with time.  I have been extremely nauseas all day.  Had to take my prescribed Phenergan ( I have a symptamatic incisional hernia).  I hope after a couple of days my body will become more tolerant of the diet change.  I guess the alternative to nauseas would be hungry all day but I just couldnt stand smells or textures very well.  Anyone else having this issue?

I would love some recipe ideas from anyone who has them.  I am on a liquid fast till day before surgery then its clears and miralax ****tail.

When do you usually start a diet? My physician said they will send my instructions in the mail. I am 25 days out and have not receive it yet. I have started on protien shakes tho because my best friend went through it. but some people have diffent diets. She had 2 weeks of all liquid. they told me 2 replacement shakes and one small meal. Gl Everyone on your surgery. I am super excited and know you all are too.
