Your going to do great. If your not taking a multivitamin I suggest start taking one now, they will probably do some labs to see if your doing good before hand I started taking chewable multivitamins for adults two weeks before my blood work and all was perfect except living in seattle my Vit D is low like everyone here.. Good luck...

Iorindac,

You and I are having our surgery the same day. I am so happy for you, I feel lucky my doctor does not feel a liquid diet is nesessary. I am just on a low card high protein diet. I am doing 70gm of protein and less then 40gram of carbs. Of course I have been doing this for the last several months and lost a total of 50lb.  I am going to have one last day to eat I am going to have several slices of pizza 9 days before surgery and the Dr. gave me the OK for that. I have cut done on alot of other things no sugar no coffee and decaf tea. I hope you all do great and my thoughts and prayers go out to you..

If the doctor does not have you on a specific product like Optifast, find a high protein, low sugar protein drink or powder.  Use regular zero calorie beverages to drink, and sf jello in between protein drink meals.  My calorie limit each day is 1200.  I have been on the diet 5 1/2 weeks and have lost 30 lbs.

It's not that bad and gets easier the further you go. Good luck.

I know exactly what you are talking about. My daughter is a competitive cheerleade so we are always at practice or competing and sometimes i am so tired but i have to keep pushing forward for her because i'm all that she has here. but she is my strongest supporter and motivator. So lets get healthy and do this.
