i actually started Saturday morning...and ended today....but i did bring my own pads.... my bestie who had her wls 10 yrs ago....started day 2 in the hospital

but i know here they game me special pantoes to wear and i got my pads when I go in my room

I have had those same white pus pockets on my tonsils and tested negative for strep. Mine was exactly as you mentioned. Allergies. I don't know about it affecting your surgery date though if you end up needing antibiotics.

Topic: 2 Weeks till surgery and still need to get vitamins and protein powder

So I'm officially 2 weeks out today!! Yay! I started my pre-op diet yesterday. The diet consists of low carb (less than 30 g) and high protein (70 g or more). So far I'm doing good. But it's only been 2 days. LOL. Anyway I started to panic a little when I realized that I need to read the packet my surgeon's office gave me. It mentions the need for vitamins and supplements (protein powder). I have not purchased either of these yet. I remember going to celebrate.com and signing up to receive free sample vitamins, but those have never arrived. Any idea where else I can get vitamins and protein powder? I'm not even entirely sure what protein powder even means? Is it flavored protein powder?

And lastly another silly question. I understand that I will need chewable pills post op. What about birth control pills?? At the time this was addressed I had an IUD in, which has since been taken out due to complications. Any ideas about that??

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully there will be no more surprises! I had made arrangements for all of mine to be paid through my Dr's office and that covered hospital, anesthesia, labs, 3 mos post-op apts, etc. but when I went to meet w/the anesthesiologist at the hospital you could tell hey weren't happy about not getting paid directly, but they dealt with it.
