Topic: RE: How much weight have you lost?
OHH! sore point for me too! I had surgery 6/28, and lost about 20#s, then once I started eating I haven't lost- the same 2-3 #s lost and gained over and over!! I watch what I eat, I log everything (food, snacks, water) on my phone app, AND I go to the gym nearly everyday to move- elliptical, Zumba, yoga...and yet not seeing the scale move. Have lost a pants size since surgery, and an inch here and there (arms/thighs & 1/2" on the waiste) but thats it!!! how frustrating!!

 Hi there,
I lost 20 lbs during the liquid phase but as soon as I started the mushies I gained and lost the same 5 lbs for FIVE weeks!!!  I was so frustrated.  But, during the sixth week, I lost 5 lbs.

So, since surgery (06/01) I've lost 29 lbs.

I'm a little disappointed that the surgery hasn't done more for me.  I still get hungry and I have to exercise everyday (swimming and weight training for 45 min).  I really thought it would be easier than this but I'm working my butt off... literally!

Even tho the scale hasn't moved much, I have lost 3 pant sizes... so I'm happy about that.

I totally empathize with you... keep working that sleeve and the weight will come off.

Topic: RE: First fill tomorrow
Hi Madeline,

I had my first fill yesterday and was really anxious. I did not even feel the needle and only the sensation of cold saline running through my tummy. I went to a fill class before and they said this is when the weight loss begins. I am feeling satisfied after 4 ounces like I was right after surgery. I guess patience is the key for us, oh and exercise, die****er, etc...

Sounds like a good plan.  Hopefully you aren't one of those who have hair loss.  That is one of my fears.  I know that the hair grows back, but who wants their hair to fall out

Topic: RE: Anyone Starting Solids This Week? What are you Eating?
I am able to eat chili, chicken, turkey, tuna, salmon.  I have been eating soft cooked vegetables as well like broccoli and potatoes, carrots and green beans.  I just make sure that I chew everything very well.  My nutritionist says to chew 30 times or to the consistancy of apple sauce.  I also only try one new thing per day so that if I get sick I know what food caused me to ge sick.  I hope this helps.

You folks are encouraging to me.  I am in the same position.  Weight has been stable for the past week, which is week 4 since surgery.  I have begun soft foods, and am eating a lot more calories than I did with shakes or pureed food.  Am tempted to go back to shakes!!

I have been on soft foods since day 5.  Do try one thing at a time in the beginning, because what you may have been able to eat before you may not know.  Keep it simple in the beginning as well till you get an idea of what you can and cannot eat.  As for fresh fruits and veggies, it's not allowed for me until at least end of August.

Oh I see. In that case maybe you should slip her the ambien. After checking with her dr that it won't hurt her of course. Then you could rest because it helps you sleep a full 8 hrs.
