 The plication is the inverting of the stomach and stitching to create a sleeve affect. That is why I have more weight lost. The lapband along with the plication helps with more weight loss.

 I think she said that they folded some of the stomach over the band but  not sure..:

 Yes some of the stomach is holding the band in place.  This procedure is rather new, so there's not alot of information as far as statistics. When I was told that I could lose as if I had gastric I knew lapband plication was for me.
