I got bumped from my surgery date??

So I was scheduled for 6-28-11 for my revision.  I really haven't had much contact w/ the doc office, mainly just emailing the Patient Advocate and sending in test results as I get them done.  I had an EGD done 2 years ago and thought they could use that one - turns out they can't.  So, I found a doc that could do an EGD this wk so I would still be in line for my 6-28-11 date, but I just found out they took me off the schedule because they said other people had all of their stuff done before me!!  I had no clue! I have already scheduled off work and made arrangements for that date?
Now, I will have to wait until at least Aug to request off wk again!! 
Has this happened to anyone else?

Yep,  Got my call on Monday, not as bad as you.  But my doctor needed to be off on the 22nd so my surgery was move to the next day the 23rd.  My hubby had to rearrage his work schedule to accomadate me.  But he's ok with it.  He really doesn't have a choice..lol

But keep on track with all your stuff, maybe by the time you get it all in someone may have run into the same thing not having all their stuff and you can get you spot back.

AH!  A fellow Okie!  I am relocated in Alabama now, but born and raised a SOONER!  Sorry to hear about your surgery schedule.  I am surprised that they would just take you off the schedule w/out even talking to you about it first.  Who was to say that you wouldn't have had your stuff in time?  Just because others had their stuff sooner, they should not have changed the date w/out consulting you first.  That sucks!  Which hospital is doing your surgery??

Hey!  What part of Alabama are you living in?  I lived in Pensacola, Fl for about 18 years!  Ya, I wish she would have called me, and I actually have all my stuff done now!  So it was in plenty of time - but ?? who knows.
Anyway, I am going to weightwise, it is in Edmond, Ok in the Renaissance Medical Complex and the 1st floor is the hospital and the doc offices are on the 2nd floor!
So which surgery did you have?

Ha!  We just got back from that neighborhood from a mini vacation in Destin! LOVED IT!!  We live near Auburn.  I have the RNY next Tues.
Don't know much about Edmond hospital.  Did they say how much of a delay you would have to get a new date?

Edit:  I was born and raised in Norman and went into the military right out of high school, husband and I got out of military and got married afterwards.  His job brought us to Alabama in 2007.

Destin is beautiful!  My son still lives in Pensacola, so I get down that way now and then.  Well I an not able to take any time off in July due to a new program at work, so I am having to wait until August now!  I just hope it can be early August.
Good Luck Tuesday.  I had my original surgery in 2002, so I am having a revision now!
