1 week till surgery

 So the hospital calls today and I have not met my deductible. I needed to pay them over 2200.00 for the surgery. well I had 1235 on my flexible spending accoung and the reset they are billing me so i can make payments. But it whiped out my acct and I don't know if the dr is going to have any charges. I pray NOT. They shouldn't wait until the week before to tell you that you need that kind of money. I mean I can pay it just NOT at one time. geeze. Please pray all goes smoothly. I could not handle it if my surgery got canceled this close.

Sorry to hear that!  Hopefully there will be no more surprises!  I had made arrangements for all of mine to be paid through my Dr's office and that covered hospital, anesthesia, labs, 3 mos post-op apts, etc. but when I went to meet w/the anesthesiologist at the hospital you could tell hey weren't happy about not getting paid directly, but they dealt with it.

You are going to be fine!! You have made it this far in the pre-op stage.  Our surgeries are the same day..
