chest Xray

 I had my pre op app. last  week got my blood work but didn't get an chest x-ray . Is that normal ??.... I read that many of the peolpe that had  there pre op got  the  chest x-ray..?????????

I am scheduled for pre op on the 20th and they ordered a chest xray. Not sure why but I will do it because it goes with the whole surgery.

My surgery is next Monday and I had to get one also.

I had to have a chest x-ray as well.  My guess would be for them to ensure no infections in lungs prior to anesthesia.  But not sure what it is for.  I also wasn't told ahead of time that was part of pre-op, just that I would have to see the anesthesiologist and do bloods.  But once I got there it was more.  I would contact your Dr in case it was an oversight.
