Home from the hospital

Hi, everybody.  I am home from my RNY surgery which was on Wednesday.  All went well. 
Arrived at the hospital at 6:00 am.   Was in the operating room a little before 8:00 am.  Surgery started around 8:15 after the surgeon arrived.  Next thing I knew it was noon and I was in recovery getting ready to go to my room.  Hubby said the doctor talked to him about 11:30.  I had some scar tissue from prior surgeries I had but he said it was no big deal.

Thursday morning had the x-rays looking for leaks then was cleared for fluids and received a tray.  Began taking fluids, 1 oz every 1/2 hour then today 1 oz every 15 minutes.

Not much pain,  walked a lot,  sat up in a chair most of the day. I was answering work e-mails Thursday! 

Everything went wonderful.  Hopeing the same for all of you going after me.

Winnie! Congrats and welcome home my friend! Yeah for you. Sounds like it went really well. Now, we are on the other side!!! :O ) Can't wait for all the other June babies to join us!

I am so glad to hear that you are doing well.  I have been so worked up about how I am going to feel after surgery.  This gives me hope.  I wish you the best on your road to recovery.
