i have been doing the protein shakes for two weeks, but with food also. so now starting june 1st, i am just going to do the shakes and protein bars. i really have to crack down and just do what i am supposed to do!

I had to have 4 protein shakes i bought from my surgeon's office, i would mix it with water , i was also allowed to have broths, sf popciles, sf jello tea's thats it,,,,,,, allot of water ..have you started already how many days ..

Hi there do you need to do 2 weeks of liquid protein shakes before your surgery, if you do let me know and i'll help you get through it,,,,, anyone here that replied i want to do it with you and help you let me know. thanks claire... i'm already 1 and a half years out and i've done great.135pds off

Thanks.  I have read and re-read all my papers all day.  I am packed and just ready to go.  The Mag. stuff was terrible!  I am still going and tired of it!  I am sorry you had to do liquids for a while.  My Dr. doesn't require it.  One day of this pre-op stuff is enough for me.  I do have to do a liquid diet for three weeks following surgery.  Best of wishes to you.  T
