Yoooohoooo! Any June 2010 surgery dates?

I received my official surgery date for Laproscopic RNY Gastric Bypass last week. I will be going in for surgery on the 15th on June and am really nervous and yet totally excited. The process has been so extremely fast for me to get my scheduled date. I am a self pay so I didn't have to await insurance and I didn't undergo a bunch of tests. I went to a seminar then my first appointment and I had my surgery date so I feel blessed and that it is finally my time. I joined a gym 2 weeks ago and I have been walking 3 miles a day for the last year so I plan on getting my full routine worked out now. I am so excited to see all you that will be having your operation around mine so that we can discuss and issues or questions that we have with each other. I can't wait to see all of the before and after pictures over the next few months and years to come!!!!

Hi, my date is scheduled for June 1st. I also am a teacher and wanted to wait until the summer. I am have gastric bypass and cannot wait. So, so , so excited.

Just found out today my new date is June 7, a week earlier. Just five more weeks. I am eager, excited and have three more weeks of pre-surgery classes. Right now I am the lowest weight in 10 years, from prep diet for surgery. This is going to be a wonderful 70th birthday on June 16!

Well, go figure! I'm an elementary principal and my hubby and I are having his-and-her RNYs on June 23rd in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I think the reason there are so many educators here is that we take care of others so much and forget to care for ourselves. Fortunately, we're getting smart and learning that it is essential to care for the caregiver...ourselves! I will go looking for the June group. Let's do this thing!!
