Hey honey,

My doctor stated that the protein powders that I found were for buffing people up.

Ok I was told to take these for two weeks after surgery;

FREE FLUIDS
32 ounces of water a day
sugar free popsicles
crystal light
fruit 2 O
fat frre low salt brth
decaf  coffee/tea
herbal tea
splenda

FLUIDS WITH CALORIES
diet carnation instant breakfast made with skim milk
ensure
boost
isopure in a bottle
atkins ready to drink
advantage carb control
slimfast

VITAMINS/CALCIUM
CHEWABLE CHILDRENS MULTIVITAMINS WITH IRON 2 TIMES A DAY / OR
liquid adult mutivitamin with iron/ or a chewable multivitamin
chewable calcium 2 times per day

So I went online early this morning( because Viactive is one of the calcium chewables listed),
and  decided to research viactive.   I found some really good information if you go to
http://www.splendidlife.com you will not only find viactive on sale but that Viactive also has a chewable chocolate and chocolate cherry multivitamin now and also the the viactive calcium comes in chocolate and carmel.

You will find that splenda also has come out with their own flavor water packs.  And they sell boxes of 30 for $3.95 and they sell it in cases online.
Also, we can get the isopure I spoke of before.  They are 20oz bottles that come 12 in a case.  They come in a whole lot of flavers and are 40 grams of protein.

I also found carnation instant breakfast no sugar added that's perfect for us.  Hey we have to listen to our surgeons!  And these are better for us.  You have to go online to carnation.

Hope this information is good for you.

OH AND GUESS WHAT?  I'M NOT ON A LIQUID DIET BEFORE MY SURGERY,

AS A MATTER OF FACT I WAS JUST TOLD
NOT TO GAIN ANY WEIGHT.
THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE MY SURGEON!!!!!!!!!!!!!  THANK YOU DR. DUFFY!

I'm June 1st as well. I went shopping on Tuesday and I was so overwhelmed... I had a shopping list with me, but I just felt like I would forget something or maybe I didn't think of something I'd really need. I just bought was I had in the cart  vitamins, pill crusher, baby food, SF jello, 2 cases of water, and crystal light. My cousin has RNY last July. I plan on going over her house this weekend to ask her what came in handy for her. Right now I kind feel like I'm going through this alone. I hope my cuz has some helpful info.
