It seems like Onederland will never come.. But - It is coming slowly.. i just need to be patient!
I'm happy and loving my RNY!
take full responsiblity though. I know exactly why my weight loss has extreamly slowed down though. I haven't been making to many smart decisions. I think I am just getting too comfortable-ish. Well girl, we are bound to be under 200 eventually!! We are only halfway done.
Are any of you frustrated with the amount of weight you have lost so far? It's seems like every one I see that has had surgery June 2009 (or even July and August) is already under 200 pounds. I am stuck at 212lbs! I'm trying to be more active through out my day, but going to the gym on a regularly basis is unrealistic for my life. I try to be careful with what I eat. But still, no improvement. I even a gain a pound or two some days! Anybody else going through this?
However, I love www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com and go there all the time for recipes and protein snacks. Pretty much everything I eat is one of her suggestions.
Also I have been doing pilates and zumba for exercise because I despise any "real" exercise- but I guess we have to do it.
Im glad everyone is doing well and hope for all of our weight loss goals to be realized.
Wishing you a much smoother 2010!!!
Hey everyone, I hope everyone is doing as great as I am. Or atleast I think I'm doing great!!! I am a little over 6 months post op and feel wonderful. I have went from a very tight size 34 to a size 22 and I am down 114 pounds. I go to the doctor for my 6 month check up. I have to admit I am starting to have alot of anxiety about regaining. We really need to bind together for support. I know I can use all the encouragement, advice, etc... that anyone has to offer. Congratulations to all!!!

I had surgery on 6/11. My weight lose has also been slow but mainly because two weeks after surgery I developed a leak which required another surgery (open) as well as a month in the hospital plus 4 months of being feed via a feeding tube. After a couple of weeks he did allow me to have a few ice chips.
You would have thought I would have lost a lot of weight but instead gained back what I had lost the 1st two weeks. They were giving me over 2100 calories/100 grams of protein a day.
All my complications are behind me now however I worry that I missed the rapid weight lose most people experience in the beginning but I have lost 48 lbs as of 12/23.
I hope to lose at least 7 lbs by my next appt on 1/11. This would put my BMI in the overweight range.
