I felt the same way...a sort of farewell to food tour...I just finally decided that I made the decision for the surgery and i can make he decision to give the nod and smile at the baked mac and cheese and skip it. hang in there though. Most of us got here by using food for comfort and now we will use each other for comfort. I'm with you on the 29th and I am ready to go!
I already started my pre-surgery diet. fortunately my hubby is doing it with me to make it easier. Best of luck to you!

Hello all .. June 8th Journey goers..
My surgery is at 8:45am.. it is now 12:28am and I am finding it very hard to sleep.. I just wanted to come and say that a prayer for all of us. Whatever faith you may follow.. look at this journey as a blessing, to be given the opportunity to see the light at the end of the tunnel... I will pray for your health and quick recoveries..
if I am not to doped up on Morphine.. i may try to blog while i am in the hospital.. love you all .. SMOOCHES..

yea i am. ive been drinking optifast shakes since wednesday. that and two optifast protien bars a day. the first day was rough but after that its really easy. howd ur first day go? i hope everything is going good and continues to do so. the 17th is right around the corner!!!

My surgery is Tuesday and I know exactly what you are feeling. I am there too. I think we may feel this way because of all we know and all of the research that was done to get to this place. I hope you try and get some sleep and know very soon you will be on the way to becoming a healthier you. The courage you have shown by making a committment to yourself is the greatest gift you could ever have done for yourself. Thank you for posting what you did, because it helped me too.
