My arms, breasts, tummy and thighs are disgusting.. i almost cried last night when doing Yoga when I saw how horrible they are.

I just keep telling myself to keep exercising, get the rest of the weight off and then I will have plastics to "fix" all of those pesky body image things.

Hang in there!

Topic: June Surgeries - 9 month check in

Hello Everyone!

Thought I'd see who else is willing to check in here.  I will be 9 months out on the 16th and overall very pleased with my progress so far.

I keep hearing "Slow and steady wins the race" and I continue to hope that is the case.

I never thought I would be 39 pounds away from my goal weight.  When I had the surgery at 282 - 117 pounds sounded like SO much to lose to get to goal and now I am so close.

I've kicked up the exercise big time and have even started trying classes at the gym which has been a kick in the pants!  Trying to really watch my carbs and having NO sugar right now to try to get my ass into ONEDERLAND for the first time in 25+ years.

The other day I got into a size large dress and a size 14 dress and they fit and looked GOOD!  What a trip tnat was.  Still not in a 14 jean, but it will come soon

Last night I was doing yoga in shorts and realized it was NOT a pretty sight.  Quite mortifying actually.  My arms are horrendous and my thighs are disgusting with all the extra skin hanging - but I can at least cover it with clothing right?

It seems my hunger has come back at times and so I battle with that a bit.  It's hard to not want to snack, but I cleaned all the crap out of the house and that helps tremendously.  I reach for a glass of milk instead most times.

How are you all doing? Are you feeling good?  Looking GREAT?  Check in and let us know how you are doing...

All the best,
Stephanie

Ditto for me....I am not in a rush I want to be sure that this journey is at its end before I do the plastics.  I love to swim and sunbathe so I am a little worried about summer and trying to hide all the skin under a suit!  Oh well... my thought...when this to is fixed there will always be something else to obsess over!
Good Luck!

to get some of this loose skin gone with some plastics? It didn't bother me in the beginning but as I get closer to goal it gets more and more pronounced to the point where now I'm self conscience for totally different reasons. I always hated it when skinny girls (my other friends that had GB) would complain about that because they looked so good to me...now I know you just learn how to hide it well under clothes, but when the clothes come off...oh boy!

While I am under 200, we've lost about the same amount of weight and had surgery the same month. I think you are doing awesome! The only reason I've lost the last 10 lbs is because I've been so sick with reflux I can hardly eat, but I was stuck at around 150-160 for two months that scale didn't move (or moved the wrong way)!

Hi fellow Junies - I am down 90 pounds as of this morning.  I seem to be losing about 5 lbs per month now, which is fine with me.  I would like to take off another 20 or so, but I'm now 170 so I'm good with that if it stops here.

I do a whole lot better if I follow the rules, eat my protein and drink my water, all of which I struggle with at times.  I'm so happy I made this decision.  Life is good.

Hi everyone! I just found this forum today! It's great to see other people in the same month as me...some losing faster, some losing slower. But I do not regret this decision one bit!! Hopefully we can all be here for eachother and help out where we need it!
Thanks!

Hello, My surgery date is June 8th. I have lost 90lbs so far. I have lost and regained the same pound for the last 3 weeks. I'm going to start  a workout routine, hopefully that will jumpstart the weight loss.
