Topic: RE: 6 days post op update-is this normal??
you just had your surgery! you will feel this way for awhile. I was told that after my surgery, I am on liquids for 2 weekks...then switch to pureed/soft food for 6 weeks. So I cna't even consider eating "regualr" food for 8 weeks after surgery...so just be patient and time heals all things. It takes about 4 weeks for you to full heal from surgery as it is and your only 6 days out. Good luck to you with the rest of your healing

I feel like that sometimes too. i stopped aking my meds and I am trying to deal with the pain. It seems if i just go take a wlk i seem to wlk it off. Lucky you, you get food i am still on liquids for another week, i am so hungary, that is my prob now, this liquid diet is getting very old.
If i were you i would ujst wait a couple more days to eat, you may still be swollen from the surgery, i am noticing my swellng going down and i am feeling much better, or try to tkae jsut tylenol and see if that helps.

And making sure i get in all my protein is hard i cant stand the tatse of it, i need to find a protein i like, i feel i have to ddrink up what i got, hubby bought me some he spent $300 on some tubs for me and i dont like them. I guessit don't help that is it always lumpy.
I can get n my water.I LOVE Lifewater, only got some vits in it and a lil sodium, taste great and refreshing.
I went a bought a new podometer today I am making a goal of taking 10,000 steps a day. I chase kids all day so i will some steps in but not sure if i can get that many, i have been taking laps around the block maybe i will have to add another block to my 3 laps a day.
Well just checking in to see how everyone else is doing, let me know.

How have you lost 20 lbs already. I am ready to cry!!! I had my surgery on June 4 and have only lost 1 pound. This just doesn't seem right. When I used to diet I would lose so much more and I was eating. Now I'm not eating and I haven't lost much at all.....so sad.

Topic: RE: June 16th
My date is also June 16th! I am on my 10th day of the clear liquid diet and I am doing very well. The first day of clear liquids was the hardest. I cried and got mad at the world but now my mind has caught up with me and I am mentally ready for my journey. I am getting really nervous, I have a pre-op appt. tomorrow with the doctor and hope all goes well. I'm so excited to have others along with me that understand the emotions of food.
Topic: How are all the other June 8th people?
Hi everybody, just thought I would check in and see how everyone is doing. I had my surgery on Monday morning and it went very well. I was quite nervous going in but my surgeon is so kind and he helped soothe me. Everything went perfectly and the doctor was extemely pleased with how my organs looked, he said my liver, gallbladder, and everthing else looked very healthy. I was quite drowsy on Monday, but did get up and walk. I also started on 1 ounce of water per hour and did great with that. I never felt nauseous. Monday night was sooooo long. I couldn't sleep well in the hospital and I was being overhydrated through the IV, so I had to pee every hour. I was releived when tues. morning came; I began walking at 5:00 am. Tuesday I drank 1-2 oz.. per hour and they started me on a 2 oz. meal of broth and SF jello. Again, I had no problems or nausea. By tuesday night, the JP tube and staples were removed that they told me I could jo home. I am home now, and feeling pretty well. Sometimes I am in pain, but for the most part, I feel good. I am going to focus on getting plenty of H2O today. How did everyone else's surgeries go? How are you feeling?
