Topic: Surgery in 12 hours
Surgery in 12 hrs and I couldn't be more excited.  I've never had to be hospitalized in my life for anything besides giving birth to my 2 boys.  I'm not nervous at all but I know my nerves will hit me hard once im at the hospital.  I can't go to sleep because the magnesum citrate I had to drink tonight at 5pm is still making me go to the bathroom every 10-15 minutes.  Oh well, few more hours and i'm at the hospital.

You may have just been pumped up with all the IV fluids they give you at the hospital. It will come off dont worry!

Topic: Need Help with Clear Protein
Hello All,

I had my surgery on June 5th. All went well and was home on the 8th. I need help with the clear protein. I am using protein shots which go down okay, but I am gagging on any broths. Any ideas for additional ways to get in my clear protein besides the protein shots?

Thanks for any input,
Andrea

Good job! I'm a week out tomorrow...I don't know how much I lost so far I haven't been on the scale yet I'm going to do it tomorrow...wish me well..

I'm getting my meds in most I crush or are the come in  liquid form. Make sure you keep getting your protein in that's more important than the water I hear.. I ordered the packets of protein powder from unjury.com and so far it has been no problem the unflavored mixes well with my broth and water just don't make the broth too hot...otherwise it doesn't mix well.   I need to try the Lifewater.

Keep trying to keep your exercise up..I'm trying to keep my exercise up it's been hard  I think the podometer might help....

keep up the good work!

well that helps!  The RN was telling me that they don't usually have people needing more pain meds or feeling this poorly. I am pushing fluids like crazy, and hardly peeing!  So I know body is holding on to the fluids!
I am not thrilled with the food.  But yeah, they start with 2 weeks of pureed foods, which is pretty horrible.  I would prefer a liquid diet. I don't want to eat anything!  Thanks for your input, and anyone else that has any.
Thanks for reading!

Topic: RE: How are all the other June 8th people?
Hi, My surgery was Monday as well. Monday was pretty much a blur for me. I couldnt start to drink anything until Tuesday morning. I did get home Tuesday evening around 6:30pm. Had a little trouble with the pain meds they made my dry heave, yuck. So no more pain meds for me.
Other then that. Im feeling OK not great. I have very little energy and really just want to sleep. Im sure tomorrow will be better.
