Hi FunSized.....i'm 5'3.5" on a good day lol. I had my RNY on Monday, May 4 and discharged from the hospital on Wed May 6. I weighed myself as soon as I got home expecting to have gained a little with all the IV fluids etc. I gained 17 LBS!!!

Then I had a complication...excruciating lower abdominal pain......back to ER on Monday morning......CT scan detected a GRAPEFRUIT sized ovarian cyst (which they aspirated thru my back) and blood work indicated  acute pancreatitis. Back on the IV for another 4 days before being discharged Thursday May 14......this time I stayed as far away from the scale as I could get and waited for my 2 week post op to see what i'd lost/gained (I was in the hospital during my 1 week post op and weighed in at 242 which is EXACTLY what I started at on my surgiversary. 2 week post op I was 238.

As of today I've lost another 17 lbs..............I'm really happy to have had the surgery, feel blessed to be covered by insurance and here on the other side, wiped out but otherwise healthy.......I'd be even happier to EVER see a 15 lb drop in one week and I walk 3 miles/day every day, drink my protein/water, and take my vitamins faithfully.

I cannot believe we are all having surgery on Monday.  Best of luck to all of you and we will compare stories on the other side.

I'm new and my surgery is June 16th and I'm very nervous.  I'm having the sleeve.

Congrats to you too.  I've been walking as much as I can cause I so scared of blood clots.  I think it feels better to stand anyway.  I had a gas bubble last night that I couldn't get out it was driving me crazy.  I finally got rid of it.  I'm still on the liquid diet too, but I trying to get all this water in and then I'm not hungry at all. 

 Yikes, 15-20 pounds?! I can't even fathom losing that much in a week!

I had my surgery the 3rd.... I've yet to weigh myself (I'm waiting for my two week post-op appt.), but I highly doubt I've lost 15 pounds.... man!
