I am having surgery on June 30th also. I'm really excited but nervous also. My son is also leaving for the air force so that might be part of the nervousness.

im so excited its finally time! today at 130 ill be on my way to the other side. im so ready for a new life with the realize band!!! good luck to everyone else having surgery tday! ill b thinking of you all!!

HEy there ! I am having my surgery at St Francis Hospital in Greenville SC on 6/29/09. The RNY Surgery.....I am getting excited and less nervous now...I went to my support group meeting last night and alot of patients that have had surgery by Dr. Anderson. Made me feel alot better hearing all their words of praise and support!
Ive had all the emotions as well as crazy dreams.......We will get thru this! High ^5 gal! You take care ofyou!!!

Topic: The day has FINALLY arrived!
It is hard to believe after months of working to lose weight to meet the doctor's orders and lab work and doctor visits to meet the insurance requirements, that the day of surgery has finally arrived! I am so excited that I could not sleep so I thought I would come check the boards for words of encouragement. I will be leaving the house in a couple of hours and will go into surgery at 10:00 a.m. Houston time. I thought this day would never arrive and I am so grateful for the support of my family and friends and a loving God. I am a little nervous, but all in all, know everything will go smoothly and recovery will be quick. 
I can't wait to get to join the chats discussing the pounds that have been lost. Best wishes to all who share this special life-changing day with me. May your surgeries bring the results you seek!

I had originally been scheduled for June 3, but due to an insurance fowl up it was changed to June 17th. I'm getting ready to leave for the hospital now. Can't wait!

Ahhhhh! I've lost 18 lbs!!!
I know this isn't much to a lot of people, but I was really preparing myself for the number to be less than ten.
I really couldn't be any happier right now... 18? seriously? I'm ecstatic
