I feel the same but my cravings have been for ribs and pulled pork and chips (only because everyone around me keeps chomping on them)!  I finally had a scrambled egg today and it was almost heaven!!!  :0)

Topic: June 16th Surgeries - Check in

Well it's three weeks today and other than getting tired easier than usual I am feeling great.

I'm getting 64-100 ounces of fluids in a day

I'm able to eat 1/2 cup of most purees.  Tuna and eggs don't sit very well with me sometimes though.. Not sure why.  I can get about 1/3 cup in of those and I am done.

I found a really yummy supper.. Trader Joe's chicken, asiago, artichoke patties.  They are 200 calories for one patty - 4 ounces.  I take 1/2 of one and put it in my magic bullet and add a bit of sugar free spaghetti sauce (about 3 Tablespoons)  It is delicious and has 10 grams of protein!

Since my pre-op physical I have lost 26 pounds!  I am amazed at how good I feel.

How are you all doing?

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!

Topic: Not losing weight

Hey! New to the site and needing some answers.

I had lap band surgery on June 4th, 09 and have not lost more than 12 lbs so far.  I'm frustrated and disgusted with myself.  I'm not set to have a fill until the 16th. I workout on my Wii Fit, but do not have time to walk, walk, walk like my Dr. suggested with 2 little ones at home with me. As for food, I am still on pureed foods. Can anyone help?

Hi all of you 6/29 surgeries!

One week out I'm doing great!  I actually took the kids to the lake/beach today and went in as far as my hips (can't get the stiches soaked yet...)

I'm just a little concerned about losing so much weight so fast (17 lbs since last Mon)--- see my other post... but otherwise I feel great.  Especially since I was FINALLY able to get a good night sleep last night.  First one in four days, and the first three nights' sleep I credit to the narcotics.  I'm a belly sleeper- and I was actually comfortable last night.  YIPPEE!

I'm playing hookie... er... out on sick leave... until next Wednesday, so enjoying sleeping in and generally recouping physically, emotionally, etc.. (and a couple day trips with my kids).

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers!

Topic: Am I losing weight too quickly?
Hi everyone!

Not that I'm complaining, but my lap band surgery was one week ago today, and I'm down 17 pounds since then (plus 8 lbs pre-surgery).  I'm already into my "skinny pants" and not even back to work yet.  (pause here for the YIPPPEEE--- I've lost 25 lbs)

I'm fine-- and feeling well (except for occasional dizziness early in the AM)... just so NOT used to losing weight.  In fact-- I'm feeling really good and only on 2 of my 6 pre-op meds.  I also have LUPUS and terrible arthritis pain.... but not since the surgery-- and I haven't been taking any of my pain meds for the lupus post-surgery!

My husband assures me that this is normal--- even for a lap band-- since I'm on a liquid, high protein diet.  But the weight loss still seems alarmingly fast.  I even wonder if, since I'm only on liquids and no longer have the horrible pain throughout my body-- if I might have a gluten allergy and I'm now "detoxed"???

Maybe I just need to adjust my expectations???

Anyway--  any of your thoughts/perspectives will be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks so much!

I had band surgery on 6/29... and I'm on  full liquids for 3 weeks. Getting pretty tired of the protein shakes especially.. .like you... when cooking for the family.  I'd kill for some soup!

Hang in there.  It's going to be worth it!

Me, me, me!  I had VSG on 6/29 and on clear liquids for 2 full weeks.     Today is the first day that I feel hungry.  i guess that is why I am on here looking for support to get me though.   For a change... I have Won Ton soup without the won tons.
