WOW! s that what it is?  I've been so dog on emotional lately!  WOW! Thanks for the enlightenment.  My gosh, "FOOD", where did you go?  How will I cope now? I don't want to be emotional, especially around men.

This mornng  I had some egg salad. I know its still eggs but definitely has a different flavor. Hubby put big pieces of pickle in it and though it gave it a great flavor and I made sure to chew chew chew the pickle isn't sitting well with me. I know what you mean though, can't wait to advance my diet as everything is getting pretty old to deal with!

I had my surgery the same day as you!!  I also have the same trouble.  I am sipping but it doesn't seem to allow me to get in the normal 60 oz.  I am hoping that will come.  Now that I am on puree, trying to find the time to stop drinking before I eat is also a challenge.  I hope you are sleeping better...

I am loving chili right now. If you are on pureed food blend it up!

1 lb turkey meat

1 can each light kidney beans black beans and white (northen??) beans
can of chili tomatoes
can of rotel
packet of chili seasoning

cook the meat i added onion and bell pepper to the meat also. add remaining ingredents liquid and all. Simmer 30 min or so. I also added a few dashes of red pepper for a little more zing. I protioned it out and froze it and just grab a container going out the door for breakfast or lunch. i add a little cheese on top.

Taco bells pinto and cheese is a last resort meal when i dont have time to make lunch or dinner and just have to grab something.

Ive been eating dark meat chicken for some time CHEW CHEW CHEW!

Made turkey meatballs and put bbq sauce on them one day or make "hamburgers" another with cheese mustard ketchup and dill relish. Maby have "steak" one day with A1??  lol

thats all i can think of right now.

I had my surgery on July 7Th, 2009. I have been eating cottage cheese for breakfast, Smashed turkey breast from boars head with tbs of mayo for lunch and dinner. Jello and ice pops in between. Crystal lite with my liquid vitamins and walmart protein shakes throughout the day just sipping on a 24 ounce shake, I have been feeling great in my pouch and trying to not think about all the yummy foods my family is eating. honey buns and things like that. i have noticed emotions that I have been hiding with food are starting to surface now. i have feelings of pain from my old damaged relationship that I realize I had been hiding with food. today in church i just cried and didn't know why so i just thanked God for loving me through my tears. I know emotions will fly now because I no longer have my drug of sweets to numb my pain. I hope this helps someone.

I thank all of you for replying. I will look for some better ideas. I am in South Korea so my options are limited.  Today, my mood has been foul and tearful. Does anyone know where this is coming from or what I can do. I think it is because I want to eat a hotdog and can't.
