Topic: RE: June 2nd Surgery
I am now almost 3 years post surgery. A lot has happened the past 1 1/2 years, but  the result was gaining back 36lbs. I just has to get a grip and get going in the right direction again. I decided to go back on the pre-surgery MediFast diet and have taken off 10 lbs in the past 2 weeks. Once I get back under 200 I will feel a bit better and start eating real food again. My originial realistic goal from the doc was 188 and I had gotten down to 178 hoping to get to 154 so I was no longer considered obese. We'll see - one goal at a time...

I'm a single mom and so know what you mean. I sometimes walk around the building at work. Even 15 min. I plan to take my kids to the park and walk around while they play. Or maybe ill ride bikes with them when I get to a more normal weight.

I am 2 years out and only lost 60 pounds!  I"m thinking about asking for a revision. Seems like everyone else that had RNY lost at least 100 lbs.  But like you, yes this was a great decision because at least I'm in a better place than I was two years ago.  I wish you the best!

Hello everyone,
I had my two year check up on the 10th and down 109 lbs and have been at goal for about 8 months.
I have not any regain but do struggle with the late night snacking, The 1st year I did 3 meals a day and one snack and now its 2 or more snacks, granted the snacks are low cal but you can still have too many. I continue to weight every morning and plan to take action if I get out of my weight range.

Congrats everyone, wishing you all continue success.

So fellow 2 year-ers. Its been full of ups and downs and all over the place...but I wouldnt change it for the world. It was the best decision of my life.

Now things are a bit harder for me...I can eat a lot, I get away with making bad choices, ect...but I am paying the consequences. I have gained 16 lbs back!!!! NOT GOOD. BUT- its my own fault and I can lose it. I just have to get my arse in gear... back to working out, cut carbs, no wine, no sugars. I know I can use my tool and get back where I feel great.

I'm not going to beat myself up, I'm just going to take control. I hope each of you feel likeyou have control and you are happy and healthier than you were 2 years ago. Congrats!

June3,2009 girl here..and yeah I agree this maintenance thing is hard! I too have gained. 113 being my lowest and these days hanging 118-120.  I think we get a lil too comfortable and take it for granted. I keep saying back to the basic's for me. I just gotta get back there    Good luck to ya!

I had rny 06/22/2009. I keep myself in check by weighing in every week and if I am a couple pounds up I know I need to keep track of what I'm eating. I can eat a lot more these days and I still make some bad choices but by weighing myself every week I can keep it in check. I went to the extreme of having surgery to help me lose the weight and I want to be able to continue to use the tool to keep the weight off. My scale is like my baby sitter lol. For me, it is a necessary evil.

just started a thread - but this was my topic.  My surgery date was 06/03/2009.  Went from 243 to 163 but then settled aroudn 167....until about 3 months ago when i went back to work - and am now 174 :(

i weigh myself daily....

So - in a month - it will be my 2 year anniversary since my surgery.  I have done great up until about 3 months ago when i went back to work (at a bank) where they have an never ending supply of candy.  I have gained about 6 pounds...

Anyone else having any problems - what did you do to get back on track.  am thinking of going back on shakes to supplement...
