Topic: RE: All June 11th RNY, please check in!
Hi, I had surgery the same day as you. I too cannot tolerate the protein. It has been extremely difficult. I do not tolerate sweets either. I have to say I try to eat cheese, chicken, salmon, pork, to try and get protein. I am unable to eat much at a time still. I can do two teaspoons of reduced fat peanut butter it gives you 7g of protein. I have lost 63lbs. It has been a trial. I have many days of not being able to tolerate much and I do not have much appetite. I do like fruit though and tolerate seafood the best. Red meat is a no go for me. I too still have problems with fluid but I did recently start drinking sprite zero and tolerate it well. What a nice change from water all the time. Good luck to ya.

Hey - my date was 6/16. I really do want to try to get a group going here so as we get further out we can kind of touch base to make sure we are on track. I have a friend on another board (well, she's on this one, too) who hit a wicked stall at about 9 months. She was getting quite depressed, and I think if she'd had someone from the same time it might have felt not so bad. I was kind of hoping to get halfway to a normal BMI by my third month anniversary, but I think I'll be a few pounds short. It's still wonderful to be only 58 pounds away from my goal!
I haven't started heavy duty exercise yet - just walking every day, from one to three miles. I'm kind of on the fence about the whole gym thing. It really isn't my bag.

While the weight loss is easier with surgery, the lifestyle is harder.

I had a major stall during that time also. However, my measurements went down, and I went to a smaller size of clothes even though that darn scale wasn't moving. It isn't all abou the number

Here is a link to the hot chocolate I buy. This company is really fast, and the more you buy, the bigger the discount. I bought two boxes first to make sure I liked it and I just bought 12 boxes a few weeks ago. They do not taste chalky at all...or protein-y! If I taste the protein at all in any drink I gag really bad. These are also a great chocolate "fix".
