I am having my lap band done on the same day (unless something gets bumped)!! Do you feel like you are loosing a crutch?

I too am schedules for the 1st. I was instructed to lose 10 pounds and if I could then I would be given a 5/18 surgery date. Needless to say I didnt so I was pushed bac****il 6/1. I did not lose the 10 pounds as instructed only 5 ... I think they want to see the effort?
I agree with your thought if you could lose than you would not be where WE are today, just show effort and I think you will be ok.

Hello there,
My surgery is going to be 6/1/09 as well! What are you buying to prepare for your "homecoming"? I plan on shopping for everything this weekend. I have all of the obvious things on my list vitamins, protein, jello, etc. I hate feeling ill prepared. I would rather have too much then not enough.
If anyone has an idea of things I may need, please give me a holler.

I am ready for this day. I am just waiting for it to get here. I am afraid that I will mess up. I need help getting ready and being prepared. If we can keep in touch i would really appreciate it. I would appreciate getting all the help that I can get. Keep in touch and you have a good day.

Well the date is set, my husband will be going in on June 2nd. I spoke with his Dr. yesterday and he stated that because I attended all of the classes and signed in, he will count that twoards my goals. He would like me to wait at least 6 months before I have my surgery. So we are really excited.

I am 5'4" HW 273 SW 255 CW 162.4
First Goal(s): Weigh less than hubby(DONE) and One-derland(DONE)!!!
Second Goal: Weigh 170 (what I weighed when hubby and I dated and got married) (DONE)!!!
Third Goal: Reach a normal BMI (145 lbs)

I am scheduled for my sleeve June 1st. Best of luck to you for a great surgery and a speedy recovery...I only have to do 2 days of clear liquids. Thank goodness!

Thank you. I hope I can find a protein shake that I like that one that have now is so nasty.
