I have been trying protein powders also. I like NOW plain powder for my soup and so far I like Casein powder its slow burning protein 23 g. Different flavors but so far I like the choc.

My Date is June 15th tooooo. Well Its my tentative date, if everything goes smoothly with the insurance company. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED THAT IT WILL BE MY DATE... LOL =)

Wow you are ready. That is great, I am not as ready. I have some protein, but i was told to wait until after surgery incase things taste different. I have my preop on the 3rd and that is all I know. I have not been told I have to do a GI test. How did you decide what vitamins? I am not even sure that I have to do a liquid diet before hand. I hope to know everything on the 3rd. I searched all over for the right vitamines and protein. Alot of people that I talked to who have had the surgey states that it is very important to take your vitamines and protein. From what they say if you don't you will be tired alot and your hair will fall out.
They say that it's hard to get the vitamines and protein down after surgery so we need to find the best protein and vitamines. These are the best I have found and their in GNC:
Nature's Best Perfect Zero Carb Isopure protein powder. It comes in, Strawberries & Cream, Mango Peach , Mint Chocolate Chip , banana , and chocolate. It has 50 grams of protein per serving.
Nature's Best® Isopure Zero Carb - Liquid protein. Crystal clear Bottled They have
Blue Raspberry , Apple Melon, Mango Peach , and more. I just chose those.
And GNC Women's Ultra Mega® Maximum Nutrition Formula - Chocolate. It's vitamines in powder form.

Congrats! I am June 15th. I got my protein all ready, bought my vitamins the other day...picked up my prescriptions tonight...and I have to go to the lab tomorrow for blood work and then June 1st for the upper GI test....I have to do two weeks liquids starting June 1st...a I am little anxious about it but know I can do it....GOOD LUCK

yay for a surgery date! it will go by fast. I found out last Friday about my date and in 2 hours here it will be a week ago already. crazy!

Had my first appointment with my surgeon today and he scheduled me for June 3rd.....never thought it would be so soon, but I'm really glad. Tomorrow I'll go get my liquid diet foods so I can start using them. Happy and hopeful!

My date is June 15th. My doctor requires 14 day liquid diet...so I start that on June 1st. I cna't wait! I have all my protein and my vitamins, pain meds, ulcer meds and b-12 shots just waiting!
