Hi all,
I am down 77 lbs since surgery. I have seen some that have lost more and some less but I know our bodies are doing it all in their own time! All that matters is we are doing it one day at a time.

I still get sad sometimes when I cannot have something I really think i want until I look in the mirror and see how  much I have changed. I am so happy I had surgery.

Happy Holidays all! Merry Good Eating as well!

Hi my surgery date was June 8, and I have not weighed myself in a couple of weeks, but my weight lost was about 68 lbs at my last weigh in. I try not to get on the scale as much because it was driving me crazy. I now get on the scale at the gym every other week. I also get bummed out when I see others lose more weight, but I am proud of my accomplishment so far. I work out really hard which has caused me to build muscle, which I lthink also attributes to me not seeing the numbers i want to see on the scale. Congrats to everyone and their losses.

I had my 6 month check up today and the dr. was very pleased with my progress... She said the more people have to lose, the faster they lose it in the beginning.. so that made me feel somewhat better.

Down an official 61 pounds - and 37 to go to the doctors goal for me.  She said 180 - but I think that is wayyy too heavy to settle for so I am going for 145.  I think that is achievable over time.

Thanks for posting everyone.. let's try to check in monthly on here to cheer each other on...

Way to go everyone!

Stephanie

I've lost around 110 lbs.  My favorite foods are greek yogurt 10 g protein for 1/2 cup with SF preserves mixed in for flavor and then I add frozen blueberries or SF cherries.  I also like sharp cheddar and a few crackers. And I mix 50g protein shakes using SF JayRobb whey or EAS and it takes me several hours to drink one.  And I do well with chicken or beef.  Before RNY I was a chicken lover and now I find that I like beef a little better.  I think it's because chicken is so dry.

I have lost 100 pounds.  However, everyone does lose at a different rate.  I have definitely slowed down recently.  Take care and keep up the good work!

Oh that sounds good. I will have to check them out.

I am doing well.  Yesterday was my 6 month suriversary and I have lost 73 lbs.  I am pleased as my progress was very slow the first few months.  The biggest difference was going to the gym and personal training.  It's really helped.

I hope everyone else is well!

My rny was june 29th. I have lost 79 lbs since surgery. Total I have lost is 187. Im hoping that its a bit slow cuz I lost so much before surgery. My NUT is happy with the way things are going. I want to be below 200 by the spring. I am fighting carbs and head hunger. IM a grazer. I think its time to get some head help. Id like to find someone to help me sort things out in my head. I love going to the gym and working out with my trainer. Winter activities include snow shoeing and shoveling! I do miss going for walks. I hate worrying about falling in the ice. Went down on  Thursday and am stilla bit sore from it.
Im just going to keep plugging away at it and looking forward to SKIN REMOVAL SURGERY in JUne of 20011. I dont know about you all but I am sagging everywhere!!!

I had surgery on 6/11.  My weight lose has also been slow but mainly because two weeks after surgery I developed a leak which required another surgery (open) as well as a month in the hospital plus  4 months of being feed via a feeding tube.  After a couple of weeks he did allow me to have a few ice chips.

You would have thought I would have lost a lot of weight but instead gained back what I had lost the 1st two weeks. They were giving me over 2100 calories/100 grams of protein a day.

All my complications are behind me now however I worry that I missed the rapid weight lose most people experience in the beginning but I have lost 48 lbs as of 12/23.

I hope to lose at least 7 lbs by my next appt on 1/11.  This would put my BMI in the overweight range.
