Hello fellow June folks! I had my surgery on 6/1 and within the first five weeks I lost 38 lbs! However, I haven't lost anything in the past 12 days or so.... I know plateaus are normal, but I worry I'm doing something wrong.

Daily Average I have:
20g of fat
35 g of carbs
78 g of protein
750 calories

I havent started exercising regularly, but I do get my water in....any advice? Any of you experience this?
Thanks!

Hi. I had my surgery on 6/2 and I am having a similar experience. My weight was dropping effortlessly and then now the weight loss has slowed down to 2lbs in the last 8 days.  I am walking at least 1 hour a day.  I know it is just a phase but am interested in what advice people have for you.

I have no advice, but I feel you.

I have read in the RNY forum that  stalls like this are common.  Something to do with our bodies having adjusted to the lowered calories.  Posters say to hang in there, the loss will come.

I had surgery on June 9th and I'm so glad you posted this. I feel like something is wrong with me. I'm up and down with the same 2 pounds for a couple weeks now.  I'm kind of glad it's happening to others also. Not that I don't want you guys to be loosing but I really thought iit was just me.

I feel better that it is happening to others too...I thought I was going to be the one that it didn't work for.
I'll keep everyone posted. Hopefully this stretch is almost over.

Ha Ha Ha... I've been thinking the same thing - although I haven't had anywhere NEAR your success!

I imagine our bodies just need some time to rest.  Today is the first time I feel STUFFED and I only had 2 oz of deli turkey.. wierd.

It's hard when the scale doesn't move - or worse - goes UP!  That has happened a few times this past week.. I was up 3 one day and almost peed my panties.. WTF?  @#$@#%

No way is it fat.. gotta be water because I'm only eating <600 cals a day.  Still, psychologically it's hard to swallow..

There is comfort in knowing others that had surgery around the same time are experiencing the same issues.. MUST be normal ladies if we all have the same problem.

Anyone else feeling really emotional yet?  I've had some unexpected tears lately!

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!

New Day-
thank you for understanding! Im gonna throw that scale through my window or better yet burn it.

I have had some random emotional outbursts- just one or two...but I always feel like a loon after:) Im gonna chalk it up to funky hormones or something. Plus who doesnt need a cry every now and then. I say let those tears flow.

I have been posting this same scenario as I am also afraid this surgery was not working for me.  Thanks so much for putting it out here for the June folks.  I average:

490 calories
13 g of fat
38 carb
35 protein

I walk 1 mile in the am and 2.5 in the pm with my two dogs.  In the first 4 weeks I lost 23lbs and in the last week in a half I have been playing with the same two lbs...up and down, up and down...it has been driving me nuts...statistic wise I probably burn everything I eat, calorie wise...so...I can't even understand the slow weight loss...I am now talking myself to sleep in a hypnotic way..."it is ok to let go of the fat...it is ok to let go of the fat"....sounds silly....but I'm desperate here...

But it is very comforting to know that others are going through the same thing...thanks again for posting this up!!!  Maybe we can do it again next month...or make a June group..lol...

Oh, Thank God!  It's not just me!

I'm 3 1/2 weeks out from surgery (6/29), and lost 20 lbs during my 3-week liquid diet (my dr. 's requirement).  I started eating approx 7-900 calories beginning on Sun, and I've gained 4.5 lbs!!!!  I'm being very careful... but WOW!

I'm hoping some of it's initial water retention... I do have to work on getting up from 6 to 8 glasses of water each day.  I'm struggling with the S-L-O-W eating but working on it.

Thanks for posting!

OOOOH...can we have a group hug?  I'm right with you all on being stuck.  I've been going up and down the same freaking 1 lb for almost 2 weeks.  In the first 3.5 weeks after surgery I lost 18lbs now just can't seem to make any progress.

I've been trying not to freak out since I've seen many posts about this where you just hang tight and it changes again.

Anyone measuring during this time to see if inches are still coming off?  I know I need to do this.
