I went for my 1st fill yesterday and was pretty freaked out by it all, but I'm feeling great today!  I hopefully will be back on my regular diet by Sunday. Anyone have any stories for me about your first lap band fill?

What was it like?  Did the needle hurt?  Was it over quickly?  I'm pretty nervous about that whole thing myself and have my xanax ready!  lol...

I was extremely nervous about the procedure, but it was over in a flash once I drank the barium.   The Dr. will have to push quite a bit on your stomach which will be the worst of it. I'm still frightened if anything touches that area. HA!  You'll be fine and no xanax will be needed. LOL You'll leave with a band-aid and a smile on your face!

I had my first fill yesterday too. I didn't have to drink anything. They did it right there in the room. No numbing meds needed. It felt like a normal needle ***** but with pressue. The oddest part was when it went in it made this odd sound, but she said that is what is sounds like normally. Then getting it out was another issue. Once it was in, it didn't want to come back out, lol. Other than that it went really well. I have been on liquids and doing fine so no issues. I don't really notice much resriction yet though, but that might change when I am eating real food again!!

Congrats on your first fill! As for the weight, it's coming off so...S....L....O....W!!! I understand where you are coming from. I had my fill this past Wednesday (read my blog if you want to know why I've have another fill so soon) and went on vacation. I have eaten less, but the scales do not move like I'd like for them to. Keep up the healthy eating habits and exercise. We'll all see a loss before we know it.

Blessings,
