I had pretty bad nausea, haven't been able to keep anything down, or even consider trying it due to the nausea just thinking about it.

I was prescribed two medications; zofran and reglan...reglan seems to help me, although I have only been on it since yesterday at 5 and I slept from 7pm to 10am this am....

I am trying to be happy about all of this, I am down 30 lbs since the start of my pre-op diet...most people would be thrilled but I just want to feel better.

I am working really hard on keeping my liquids down/getting them in becuase I don't want to have to go to the hosptial for IV's...

So I know there where people out there who were doing good and bad and I just want to see how everyone is!? So I ahve hope this gets better or don't feel alone.

Sorry to hear you are having nausea issues!  I had one bad day, which wasn't really that bad...just very uncomfortable all day.  I have been doing pretty good at getting my water and protein in each day.  I was a little light on water yesterday so I know I have to be better today about having it with me all the time.

I was still feeling hungry so I asked the nurse when she did a check up call on me if I could have a little more food.  She let me go to Stage 3 two days early so yesterday and today I have had a scrambled egg mixed with a little non-fat milk to make it more moist and put a little low fat grated cheese on top.  It has tasted really good and I have not had any pouch rebellion!

They have me taking Prilosec for this first month, so I'm thinking that must be helping my tummy.

What is bothering me the most is I just can't sleep well.  I get uncomfortable and have to shift around a lot.  I stopped my liquid Vicodin Sunday morning and had some Tylenol twice after that, but have not had anything for pain since Monday.

I know I'm getting better because I'm starting to get bored!  I may sneak off to the movies this afternoon just to get out of the house.

I was feeling pretty good up until a couple of days ago.  I wake up every morning feeling like I'm not able to stand up straight.  I legs/feet are really heavy.  Its not that I'm dizzy or anything, its just that I feel heavy.  Like you do when you get out of a pool from swimming all day.  I'm not feeling nausea anymore and can pretty much get my liquids in up until I'm full.  I'm starting to believe that I need more calories.  I've placed a call to my doc's office, but was told (late today) that they are gone for the rest of the week.  I really don't know what to do.  I don't want to jeopardize my recovery, but I can't go on feeling the way I do either.  It's so non-productive.

WOW sounds like there are a few problems people are having. I have had to take my pain med still about once or twice per day but that is about all. I have not had any nausea and have been on pureed foods since my discharge from the hospital.  I went for a check up today and got my drain out (that thing was long) and it was the wierdest feeling.  Staples were removed. AND I LOST 12 POUNDS!!!!!!!!
Otherwise I have been eating about 1/2 cup food at a mealtime and doing well.  Not getting all my liquid or protein in but doing the best I can.  I think that in time we will all feel so much better. I know everday is getting better for me!

I had my surgery on the 15th as well.  I am doing pretty good other than always feeling like I need to go to the bathroom.  I am on all liquids still and can't wait to move to the next stage.  I have an appt. with my nutritionist next Monday.

I am surprised how well I do feel.  I stopped taking pain killers on Sunday, and other than a little discomfort moving around at night, I feel pretty good.

Good luck to all of you on this adventure!
