I had surgery on June 11th and I got to come home about 1:30 today.  It was rough the first day, but I feel pretty good now.  I didn't have any leakage and I'm up walking and everything.  The worst this so far has to be belching.  I have this bubble in my chest and I have to get it out before I can walk after it's out I'm fine.    I want to hear about other recent surgery people.

I was a June 10 surgery and I was home the next night.  I have been struggling with getting liquids down.  Today seems better. I showered this morning so that made me happy!

I'm having a hard time getting all the liquid in too.  I don't want to drink to much at once and when I do I just belch and belch and belch kinda gross.  I hope your recovery is going good.

Congrats to you both on your surgery! I had lap band on June 8th, 2009 the gas part is the worse when I first came home the pressure was so bad . But on Thurs was the first time I really got to burp and it felt so great. Walking is the best way to get relief from the gas and gas x chewables. Today was my first day I got sick of the liquid diet but I have to do it for one more week. Good luck to you both!

Congrats to you too.  I've been walking as much as I can cause I so scared of blood clots.  I think it feels better to stand anyway.  I had a gas bubble last night that I couldn't get out it was driving me crazy.  I finally got rid of it.  I'm still on the liquid diet too, but I trying to get all this water in and then I'm not hungry at all.

My surgery date was June 12, It has been 4 days now, I must say that it really does get better, I am finally NOW starting to pass the gas.  It has been a rough few days with not being able to do so.  Im so TIRED of the liquiid diet....it doesn't help that as soon as I got home from the hospital I started to hate my shakes, vitamins etc.  I just started another shake to see if that helps.  The water intake has been very min.  it is hard get get things down and you are right, you don't get hungry.   I am scared to weigh myself, I think by next week I will jump on the scale.
