Ok, guess what? New date, June 18th

OK , here goes! I meant with my surgeon today and have to admit that I am disappointed, but understand everything he says.
The gastric bypass is not good for me right now because of my size. There are too many complications that may occur!
Dr. Andrew Duffy, who is a very nice and caring surgeon I must say, let me know that the sleeve would be better for me and has less complications.

I like how he cares enough to look out for my well being, and not just rush me into a surgery that he knows will be more complicated for me, " you know what I mean?" And if I don't lose the desired weight from the sleeve then I can go ahead and have the bypass.

I'm praying in JESUS name that the sleeve and exercise will be what I need to lose this weight.

Also, my date has changed from June 11th to June the 18th. My surgeon will be out of town or something, so they had to change it.

OH, and they totally turned my whole vitamin and protein research all around. My mind is zooming right now. I'll get back in touch about the vitamin and protein thing later.

yes that is great that it did not get moved to far. having a good dr has been great for this process for me. Sounds like you have some one who is really looking out for you. Keep us posted.

I would rather have a surgeon that is concerned about your well-being than one that does the procedure for the money! Everything is meant to be for a reason! You will do fine :)

6/18. The nerves started as soon as I got the actual date.

I know how you feel. I'm getting the lap-band and from day 1 every doctor I've talked to has tried to convince me to get the bypass. Thankfully they're letting me do the band, but I know how hard it is to have your mind set on one thing and be told you should have something else. I've heard a LOT of success with the sleeve, so I'm sure you'll be very successful too
