I'm a June 8th baby too! Just started my liquid diet. doing ok with it. My surgeon is Dr. Hilario Juarez in Phoenix, Az. Go tomorrow for my pre-op class and next tues. for my pre-op testing and my surgery is scheduled at 2:00pm on the 8th. Look out world here comes the new me. I decided 2009 was gonna be a "ME" year.

I'm on Day 2 of my liquid diet. I've been doing pretty well so far... although I caved and ate a piece of watermelon. But hey... it's WATERmelon, right? (Bad, I know)....
I've been slamming the protein drinks.... if you mix them thick enough, they seem a little more filling. I also went to Sam's Club and bought a few cases of various drinks (they all fall into the Dr's guidelines as far as nutritional content).... TreeTop Trim Juice, Flavored Water, Atkin's Shakes... etc.
Anyway, aside from the headache (caffeine withdrawal)..... it's really not too bad so far!!!! The worst part is having to go pee every 20 minutes. I'm tempted to move my office desk into the janitor's closet by the bathroom.... sigh. LOL :)
But the good news is..........

So six days and counting..... I am getting very nervous!!!!!!!!!! I think I am driving my husband crazy. Lots to get done before then so feel like I am going to forget something who knows!!! Is everyone else getting nervous. I know I am doing the right thing for me but I am scared!

Oh man.... you and I both. To be totally honest... I am completely terrified.
I made the mistake of watching the surgical procedure on Youtube.... and now I can't get it out of my head. :( It was so gross... lol
Medical and surgical procedures absolutely terrify me..... I'm the kind of person who faints when I have blood drawn. I feel like I'm slowly losing my mind.... I spent a good chunk of yesterday getting anxious and crying.
I can't wait till the actual surgery is over, lol. The battle won't be over.... but at least the scary part will!
