Hey guys!! I got approved last week after nearly a year of playing tug-of-war with my insurance company... woohoo!!!!

My surgery is scheduled for June 8th at 10:00 am.... is anyone else having their surgery on the 8th?

I am beyond excited.... I can't wait to get started. (Though I'll be totally honest, I'm dreading the liquid diet).

I'm 5'1 and 230lbs... so I have about 110lbs (give or take) to lose. Can't wait!!!!!!!! :)

Congrats!  I'm a few days behind you on June 15th.  I can't wait til we are part of the losers around here! :)

Congrats!  I'm a little bit behind you; my surgery is scheduled for June 15th.  I'm not looking forward to the liquid diet either; but it will be well worth it.  I have to do it for 5 days pre-op; how about you?

My pre-op liquid diet is supposed to last for 14 days.

I'm slowly beginning to realize just how attached to food I really am... I'm already getting anxious.

I mean, it should be nothing since I've been on a 1400-calorie diet for almost 7 months now.... but it's still making me anxious. :)

I'm having RNY on the 8th! :)

I'm about 288 now, so my surgeon's goal is 148 pounds away and MY goal is 168 pounds away :)

I have to go in for an UGI and chest x-rays tomorrow.... then my pre-op appointment is on the 19th..... my two week diet starts on the 25th.... and my surgery is 10:00am on June 8th.

I worked towards all of this for so long.... I'm overwhelmed by how quickly it all came together once I got the approval. I cannot wait!!! :)

I have my surg on the 8th of June also. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I start my liquid diet on the 29th.....

Hey!   I just found out that I get to join the June 8th group!!  Are we excited or what!  I've been trying protein powders.   So far I have found a few that I like.   Some that I hate...  What about you?
