new beginnings 6/3/09

Hello beautiful people,

Here I sat, browsing the web and stumbled upon this website where I am able to meet and greet people who are going thru the same things that I am.  I am scheduled to have surgery on june 3rd and am excited, scared, and anxious to say the least.  All I know and want to believe at this point is that : ITS A NEW BEGINNING !!!!!!!!!!!!  I am ready to plant my feet firmly and do this.  I  like most need support.  Tired of hearing negative thoughts of others, is why I have not told alot of people of my intentions.  I would love to hear from those who are going thru the same things that I am so that we may rein together.

I've just started posting around here but have been lurking awhile.  It's a great group that is very supportive that is full of information and support as well as a swift kick in the arse when it's needed!

I am having my surgery on June 3rd as well! We will be doing this together! I am in NorthWest Arkansas!!! Maybe we can keep in touch and keep each other on track!!! I'm having RNY---what about you?

If RNY is bypass then yes we are having the same thing.  there are so many terms to process since I have become a member.  Last night I just sat and watched the chatting in the chatroom to familiarize myself with the lingo.  It would be my pleasure to hook up with someone whom is on the same page as me.  I need all the buddies I can get.  I am in kenansville, NC and am having my surgery in Raleigh, NC.  I'm excited and nervous and all I keep telling myself is " ITS A NEW BEGINNING".   I just hope that with following directions, I won't get sick or have any problems.  I will keep in touch.

Hey there, Congrats on your date!  It's exciting isn't it. I am scheduled for June 2nd and I'm very very happy i've made this decision and have the opportunity to have a new journey.

I haven't told many people also, not sure why? afraid of negative comments I guess. I have told some close friends and family and they have been mixed there too..... some happy, some not.

I just have to be good to myself and not worry about others.

How are you?  I am fine and excited at this point as well.  Today was the final do all.  Met with my surgeon and did my pre-op at the hospital.  Its all down hill now.  I am ready to move along now.  I like yourself have not told many people and it is for the very same reason which you have not.  I did not want to hear the opinions of others.  I did not want anyone to aid in my making a reverse decision.  When you finally decide that this is what you want to do, it is solely your choose and no one else's.  I have a negative component in my household as well.  my son.  But again, I state " It is my decision and mine alone.  He is now being supportive, but doesn't like it.  Who cares ---------I;m the mother.  LOL

Keep in touch and good luck to you as well.  I'm sure we will both be fine.  Can't wait to get into that bathing suit without shame !!!!!!!!!!!!! smile  Let me know how things are going and I will do the same.
