I am penciled in for June 4th.....crossing my fingers all goes well and stays for that date! I too have found it hard to find people to talk to on here because they all seem to have already exp the surgery and have "buddies". I was talking to my nut and he said that only 20% of the people with WLS will acomplish weight loss and keep it off without a support group (going to meetings etc.). It goes up to 88% with a support system. I am hoping that you all and this site will be my support system since the closest meeting group is an hour and a half away and I have five small children so it would be difficult to get up there! Good luck to us all!!!

Hi Brandi - You and I share our surgery day!  It seems far away and yet so close too.  I feel like there is a million things I need to do before it gets here.

I would love to share experiences!

I am also scheduled for June 15th.  Started my six weeks of medifast liquid diet required by my surgeon 7 days ao and have lost 15 lbs.  Anyone out there having to do this?

I would love to keep in contact.  New at these blogs.  Hope I don't lose you.
