Thank you, Debbie. I also wish you well on your surgery. Your advise is very sound and I know I need to stay busy and active. Especially trying to stay on the liquid diet. I am such a compulsive eater that food seems to be gone before I realize I have started eating. I look forward to talking to you about losing.

Hi everyone,
My surgery date is 6-10-08. I have been reading everyone's posts. I am learning how to get around the website.
I want to thank everyone for all the support and kindness the show eachother here, I am so glad I found this site and look forward to being a member here.
I hope everyone has a great day.
I am not looking forward to the surgery. I had 6 last year for an lp shunt, but I know after all those, I will be fine with this one.

I have gained back 45lbs and I am starting to feel really hopeless,,i lost 265 and now i am sooooo mad at myself for gaining this back..what do i do?

I am 11 months post-op and am not losing. I have probably stretched my pouch.
If I go back on the protein shakes will the pouch shrink? I hate the shakes but will gladly go back to them if it will get me back on track.

Just keep the liquids flowing. That's what helped me. I broke it up as much as I could and just kept drinking. I'll have to admit I'm getting really tired of it now, but I'm almost done. (of course, I'm assuming that post op will be different, but it will be the same ol" stuff - 4 more weeks of fluids for me).

Hi Julie,
I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. The same for all on that day. Then we sit and wait for our appointed time, which I may add I have no idea what time it will be. I have heard horror stories. My sister waited something like 14 hours. I heard of someone else that waited 12 hours. Oh well, just taking those things in stride. Praying for an early time slot.
Good health and a very uneventful recovery to you too.
