Lisa and others, Even my own family initially said, "you just need to eat less and exercise more." Well, duh, and if I could do that on my own, don't you think I would have? Once they saw my successes post-op, they got behind me, and now the results have convinced them. It's not a magic bullet, it's a tool, but the right tool makes the job a whole lot easier. Hang in there, Lisa, you are almost there! I have lost 27 lbs since surgery (8 wks ago), 40 since my heaviest, and have dropped a few sizes.

Wow, that's awesome! I hope I'm able to do that, too. I'm a surveillance agent and I seriously sit around for 10-12 hours! Shouldn't be hard... good for you! Jat

Topic: RE: 7/7 Surgery less than a week to PreOp Diet questions????
I have some black cherry sf syrup that makes a yummy addition to my vanilla protein. Congrats on your date! I too was very worried about the pre-op diet, but since I kicked the caffeine habit before that point I found that the diet wasn't that bad. Now, it's been so long and I am really looking forward to being able to have real food again. The food urges usually pass fairly quickly if I have some protein or broth. Sometimes only sj jello will do the trick.

Its the size of a small football so it sounds like the same thing

Topic: 7/7 Surgery less than a week to PreOp Diet questions????
Hi All - This is my first post and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on the pre-op diet. For instance - what is your favorite thing to add to the vanilla protien shake? I admit I am more worried about the preop diet than anything else - is that bad???
