Topic: Canadian Surgens?
Anyone have the sleeve done in Canada privately ? I have been told the wait in NS will be years and I don't feel I have the time to wait but am uncomfortable leaving the Country just in case.
Thanks in advance!

Topic: RE: Not sure I am doing so great
Please don't get down on yourself. Everyone has times when they feel they could be doing better. Since my nursing exam is coming up, I have been eating pretty poorly, not working out, and not getting all of the fluids I should. But I try to remember that each day is a brand new one and a new opportunity to get back on track. Yesterday I swam laps AND went to hot yoga and got 3L of water in and felt really good about it. The point is that you have to take each day as it comes and not get hung up on the days before. That's when you start to get depressed and start sabbotaging yourself out of hopelessness. I'm sure you remember that feeling from dieting before WLS. So Chin up! You are doing awesome and need to give yourself credit for the strides youv'e made not regret those you could have. Blessings!

I agree some days are better than others for me it seems. Like yesterday I was on a carb frenzie it was unreal LOL. I think your doing great and I am sure we will have some bad days as long as we stay on track. So dont kick ur self in the butt to bad and stay positive.
Topic: RE: Stalling...already????
I am starting my 4th week have have been STALLING for almost 3 weeks! I go up and down 2 lbs. It is soooooo frustrating. I didn't go through all this to lose 29 lbs. argh! Only my close family can even see a difference. Does it get better? Does more cardio help? I am following all the drs orders for food intake. It not like a can cheat and go to a fast food joint.
Topic: Not sure I am doing so great
I just had my 9 month check up and I somewhat confused and disappointed in myself. I feel like I have lost a good amount of weight. I have gone from 341 pre-surgery to 211. However, I feel like I could be doing much better. My bloodwork shows low levels all over the place, but the doctor was not worried so I guess that is not a huge deal. They were not terribly low. I am finding it more and more of a challenge to eat right. I am finding that I think I am hungry all the time and I am not satisfied after I eat. I am full, yes, but satisfied, no.
Any one else struggling like this? Or am I totally un-normal. It would not be the first time. LOL

wow... you look amazing Kimberlin. Did you call your surgeon or doctors and ask.

I see. I don't think it would hurt since you are so close to goal. I am down 116 so far and 20 from goal. But my ins doesn't cover so I'm waiting to see how much will pop back on it's own. I'm giving it 2 years and then snip snip. But if my ins were paying for it.....then yeah...I'd do it now.

THanks! From what I understand my inusrance will only cover "reconstructive surgery" Dec. 31 on the year following the initial surgery. So that means I dont have 18-24 months! Dec. would put me exactly at 18 months and if anything were to go wrong or I needed extra they wouldnt pay for it. So I am in a bind as too when to get it all done!

I think it's a bit too soon to be looking into skin removal.
I heard the standard is 18-24 months out until your weight has leveled out completely. I would definitely discuss it with your surgeon.

I had my surgery June of 08, so I am just about 7 months out. I am about 6-10 pounds away from goal weight. I want to start looking into getting skin removal done. Is any one else here with their surgery date in June 08 getting thiers done already?
