Topic: 4 weeks post op and still vomiting/sour stomach
OMG I am having so many problems with vomiting and nausea!!! I am having such difficulty getting anything down most of the time, especially vitamins and meds. This has been so hard and I really have remorse! Somebody please help!
Topic: RE: Nausea & Vomiting following RNY
I had the gastric sleeve on June 10th and I too am having so many problems with eating and vomiting! I keep wondering if there is a turning point somewhere with this??? My doctor has said I need to incorporate 60 grams of protein into my diet and I also have to take chewable children's vitamins with iron, but OMG it is impossible because everything just comes right back up! Then on top of everything I have a heart condition and I am supposed to take my meds by crushing them, but up they come!!! You and I can't be the only one's with these sort of problems can we? Maybe I just have a very sensitive gag point now? Maybe that is our problem? I nibble and sip and chew everything into paste, baked red potatoes without the skins seem to be the only thing that manages to stay down.

Topic: RE: One year anniversary
Congrats on your year anniversary! Sounds like you've had a great year. I one year I hope to be able to say I've met my goal.
Topic: One year anniversary
I just had my one year anniversary of Gastric By Pass Surgery and my results have been, simply stated, amazing:clap:. I started on June the 6th 2007 walking into my surgeons office and weighed 514 lbs. On June the 20th 2007, I weighed 503 lbs at the hospital. just weighed on the 18th of this year and weighed 280 lbs at my doctors office. A loss of 234 lbs. I now am down to 276 and have been down as low as 271 but when I plateau I can go up or down 5-10 lbs. My Doctor is Dr. Black in Anniston Alabama and I simply cannot praise him and his staff more for returning me to a wonderful and active life. I have three goals left to achieve ending at 194 lbs
Topic: RE: 6 days out and feeling fantastic!
Well I'm 4 days out and feeling good. I have been sleeping most of the night waking to get pain meds and going back to sleep. I'm up all day no naps my body won't relax enough to take a nap. Working on liquid diet. It's ok. Had my first bowel movement last night. At least the pumbling is working. I not that tired after the anesthesia wore off. I've been pretty up. The pain meds aren't making me sleepy. I had an open RNY on Monday so no gas issues thank god. I didn't handle that well with my gallbladder out. Two years ago. Just tinderness from the incision site. Well I hope all of you are on a quick road to recovery so we can meet everyone on the other side. THE LOSER BENCH!!!! YEAH!!!!
