i had surgery on june 17th , and i have only lost 22 lbs i think that i should have lost more weight by now but idk, my mother says that i am doing fine, and the docter didnt say anything bad, its just when you see other ppl losing like you know 40 lbs or so you tend to feel like you havent done what you are supposed to do. thanks...tiffanie

My RNY revision was on 6/25/08 and I too have only lost 15lbs. What makes this even more frustrating is when I had my original surgery the weight seemed to fly off and back then I wasn't doing everything right like I am this time. Please keep me posted on your progress Michelle it nice to see someone with a really close surgery date. Keep your head up

I am the exact same way. It seems as if I am constantly burbing. I was forewarned by one of my friends that this could be an issue. It's almost embarassing!! Not much you can do about it though. I eat slowly and drink slowly. How much weight have you lost?

I think we are all in the same boat. I feel completely stressed out and keep reading about other peoples dramatic weight loss the first month. I think Im going to scream. Passed a subway today and wished that I hadnt had the surgery a footlong sounds good right about now. But since that will send me to the ER I just kept walking. This would be one of those days where I use comfort food to make it all better. My best friend says Im like a cat and always land on my feet...Im falling now waiting to land!

Are you still on painkillers? I had nausea really bad when I got home from the hospital and it was caused by my prescribed painkiller Roxicet. I switched over to Liquid Tylenol for the next two days and then I was done. However, the day after quitting Roxicet and I didnt' feel like I was on a ship anymore. I hope this helps!

Hi That really sucks. I had lots of nausea right after surgery. It lasted for over 36 hours and my Dr kept trying anything. I could not move my head without heaving. He finally tried those patches you wear on a cruise ship. They worked. You need a prescription for them, which I am sure you Dr would give you. I have had to use them several times since I have been home. Not sure it will work but it is worth a try. Works for me, I plan on always having some....Good Luck Praying you will be better
