Yes --I am having RNY surgery. It seems like it will be the most successful for me.

I'm having surgery on June 6th and it's going to be open because that's what the doctor does. I have no co-morbitities I have a BMI of over 40 as of January. I did lose about 8% of my weight because the doctor wanted me to.

Good Luck! Is there a reason your surgeon won't do laps? I'm in Sacramento and know there are surgeons in Modesto and Sacramento that do only laps and no opens unless you have adhesions from a prior abdominal surgery. In any case, you will do just great!

He just does open right now he will start to do laps in the future but I'm not willing to wait and then I will be one of his first. He's a great doctor and I'm blessed to have him. Salena
