OK, I thought I'd startle everyone looking for new posts on the June board.
I was picked up last Thursday at the gas station by a man 10 years younger than me! His pick up line?? "You're too hot not to have a husband!"
This could be a nice diversion until my golf game gets better!

Grazing!! I have been stuck in side and at home since my knee replacement.. and am bored. Have been trying to keep strawberrries on hand. So good!!
Am out and about and haveing PT on the knee. Am doing water therapy and just today the girl gave me a suggestion to wear ankle weights and a weight belt when I return to my water arobics class.. She even gave me a couple of catalogues. And I can start back to Curves after the first. And am determined that I am going to go at least 2 times a week. I hate exercise but this waist is not a waist. If you know what I mean. Alice

II haven't been doing this.. but am glad we are back.. I am like Judi got down to 179 but it jumps up and down between that and 182.. have 10-12 lbs to Dr. goal.. would like another 10 if I can get it. But my health is so much better.. I will be satisfied with what I have.. size 16 and xlarge... beeen 30 years size I wore anything under 2x. Keep up the good work. Alice

My challenge has without a doubt been grazing....
After lunch and during evening TV it the worst. Breakfast is no problem because I have stuff to do, get ready for work or if its the weekend I have to get on the treadmil, but lunch is harder because my afternoon is much quieter than my morning...
My triumps....
I choose "better" things to snack on. Usually some nuts, or a handful of high fiber cereal (can always use more fiber) and no matter what I snack on I always eat something high in protein first...
I also do my work outs....no matter what!! I convince myself if I don't work out I won't be able to have my snacks...this motivates me..LOL
I joined Curves recently, they had a special, 30 days for $30, I have gone every weekday since.... I walk there and then walk back afterwards.
On the weekends I do the treadmil....and the last two weekends I have been pumping the speed up, each level it goes to I push the up arrow 2 or 3 times to make it go faster. I also continue with my aquafit 2 times a week.

I have to admit that I am a creature of habit and am more than happy to have the same thing over and over again. So breakfast is almost always, a piece of protein bar (usually about 1/3) a single serving container of yogurt (usually Source Exotik) and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of dry Special K. It's lots to eat and I am usually pretty full. alternately I recently found a protein granola yogurt bar in Walmart Called Slim Down, They call it a cereal bar but its a granola bar. It has a coating of what they are calling yogurt but to me it tastes more like frosting..LOL It's 150 calories but has 15 grams of protein and I find the VERY filling. So about twice a week I will have one of those for breakfast.

i do the protien bar thing too... I've been on a plateau for the last couple of months but i'm happy where i'm at... i just need to firm up!
i'm looking for alternatives because i'm sick of protien bars... so i'm open to suggestions as well!

I do coco wheats with a scoop of protein powder (i use Beneprotein - no flavor).
Yogurt is a great thing to carry with you. Also try boiled egg.

I must have coffee too. First and foremost.
Then its usually cheese, a slice of meat from the night before or lunchmeat. If I really don't want to eat then it's a protein drink. The sugar alcholol in many pbars make me feel icky.
I dump on cereal and milk, even if its one of the Kay's Naturals protein cereals. Must be the carbs cause I can drink milk 1% no problem.

ok, i MUST start my day with coffee. then i have to wait 30 minutes to eat. hate oatmeal, hate cottage cheese. (gee wonder how i got fat)
what are you guys eating for breakfast?
i've been bringing laughing cow cheese or protein bars to work to eat around 9am. i have been advised that too many protein bars can be bad so i am looking for alternatives.
