Judi,
I don't mix my cereal with my yogurt.... I eat them seperate. I have really been enjoying eating dry cereal, more than just the special K... Have to be careful though not to get one too high in calories.
Yes the yogurt I eat is a Canadian made one according to the package. Just look in your reg grocery store for a Fat free, no sugar added brand, There are tons out there.
Sillouette is also another one. Only 35 calories per individual cup. But they also come in bulk containers as well.
I found the slim down bars online..looks like you may be able to order them...but they are a Canadian made product....
www.slimdown.ca
The ones I eat are the Golden Honey and Yogurt Cereal bar (which is what I call a granola bar) and the other as a treat..but not often is the triple layer Almond Coconut bar. Both have 150 calories but you get 15 g of protein. They are post op friendly but I wouldnt eat them with wild abondon. There are other flavours of a chocolate like bar in addition to the almosn coconut but I didnt like them...they tasted to much like carob to me. and had more calories and less protein....

Now that is exactly what this board needs a good shake up!
Wowzers. So how often are you gonna get gas?
I would vote for the horizontal mambo in place of golf anyday ;)

Work days I usually have a protein drink (6 oz skim milk and 1 scoop of 27-gram protein powder). Of course, this is preceeded by 4-6 shots of espresso (2-3 on the drive to work and the rest at my desk). I like the protein drink because I don't have to wait to drink it after I finish coffee. If I've been industrious and cooked a bunch ahead of time, I might have a hard boiled egg. I'm not cooking!
Weekends will be the same usually or if I do feel like cooking, I'll have an omelet with chopped turkey sausage or turkey bacon, goat or feta cheese, green pepper, and tomatoes.
Boring, right? I figure boring is better than not eating breakfast.

Judi - This is the hard part isn't it? Up, down, up, down... I find that I lose in 10ths of a pound sporadically (1 week out of 3 or 4 maybe) and just try to avoid grazing. It's really hard so I try to stick to grazing on LC Lite Cheese (where is that Buffy???) and crackers. This weekend with sorority sisters at a spa was quite a challenge. Sticky buns, popcorn, ice cream, pie...UGH! I avoided it all, but let me tell you, I chomped down a whole lot of nuts, yogurt, and protein bars!
I got a mental picture of you draining the pool - LOL!
My 1 yr appt is June 17. I think I've lost about 10 pounds since the 9 month appt and the dr thought at that time that I probably would not lose a whole lot more and was pleased with where I was at that time.

thanks Becky, I'm going to look for Slim Down.
I bet your yogurt is a Canadian brand. I live in the sticks in MN and have to drive 50 miles just to get greek yogurt. I tried putting cereal in yogurt once and it tasted funny. is there a trick to it?
(i sound like a complete imbecile today lol)
